
Georgette Cobbs is a well-seasoned professional in the Corporate World and field of Mental Health. Georgette, a California native has been a professional in the Bay Area for over 25 years between her two professions.
Georgette’s 18 year career began in the corporate world in the role of Administrator and eventually becoming an International Administrator working overseas from 1989 to 1996 with her last assignment being South Africa working in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Her work in the corporate world was in management and encompassed a variety of duties overseas mainly international administration relations. Georgette has visited and worked in the following countries, Burkina Faso, Mali, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Mali, Morocco, Tanzania, London, Brussels and Paris. Georgette in her administrator work required her to work with both employees international and local.
Georgette has spoken at many venues in the Bay Area on adolescent development and addiction. Georgette has participated as a presenter for Oakland Unified School District faculty and staff, Alameda County Behavioral Healthcare Services, Longshoremen of the Bay Area, local churches, participant of the coalition to combat alcohol and other drug use in the Berkeley Unified School District, partner in the coalition IGPC (Interagency Gang Prevention Collaborative) to combat gang violence in Oakland, PALMS (Problems of Addiction in Labor & Management, Inc. Bay Area Chapter, Martinez, CA), EAPA (Employee Assistance Program – San Francisco, CA Chapter) and a presenter at the Annual Youth Conference in Berkeley for Alcohol and other Drugs. Georgette is well-seasoned in the field of Diversity with her wealth of experience in the field.
